Edison World College

In 2013, Edison World College was established as a digital research arm of World Certification Institute. Three years later, the College, by virtue of a charter granted by the Council, was tasked to deliberate and put forth suitable candidates from WCI accredited institutions for the conferment of research professorships and research degrees via the AREL (Action Research and Experiential Learning) program.

The Adjudication Board

An Adjudication Board was constituted at the College primarily to scrutinize credentials and approve candidates for the conferment of research professorships and research degrees via the AREL program. The Adjudication Board comprises eminent professors and fellows who are appointed from the Council of World Certification Institute.

Criteria for Conferment of Research Professorships

  1. The candidate must have attained the highest credential award of World Certified Master Professional (WCMP) from World Certification Institute.
  2. The candidate must be admitted for fellowship with World Certification Institute, either as an Associate Fellow (AFWCI) or a full Fellow (FWCI). An Associate Fellow will be eligible for Associate Professorship, and a full Fellow will be eligible for Professorship.
  3. The candidature can only be put forth by WCI accredited institutions. The accredited institutions must be able to provide documentary evidence of a published research in a specialized discipline by the candidate. Such research publication could be a short professional article, or a seminar presentation. It is not necessary that the research publication is published in refereed journals.
  4. Below is an example of how a successful candidate can describe himself upon conferment of a research professorship in management.
