The test involves furnishing information required to verify an applicant’s suitability and eligibility for the award of a professional credential. Nothing contained in an application will be released or revealed, unless expressly stated otherwise by the applicant either in hard copy or through online application. The award of a professional credential is based on achieving a minimum Composite Index score, covering information relating to such assessment criteria as integrity; job specification and accumulated years of experience, skills and competencies derived from validated experiential learning; knowledge acquired through continual training and education; as well as active contribution to the related field of the occupation. A Composite Index Score is computed based on a weighted aggregation of points awarded for the assessed criteria.

The minimum award is the credential of a World Accredited Practitioner in a specified occupational field. The assessment process entails examining, validating and authenticating the experiential skills and competencies of an applicant. This award is based on a set of criterion-referenced occupational and experiential accomplishment.

The award of a World Certified Professional requires assessment of a higher competence level and is based on the attainment of professional and academic qualifications, in addition to a set of criterion-referenced occupational and experiential accomplishments.

The World Certified Master Professional award is a premier credential meant for the elites of the profession and applicants may be required to pass a Professional Competency Test.

The assessment process entails examining, validating and authenticating the experiential skills and knowledge that are consistent with competency conformity standards and the assessment specifications that have been deliberated by select committees of experts and validated by the World Certification Board.

The process examines the level of skills, competencies and professional practices; and determines the classification of the professional credential required in a specialized field of an occupation.

The assessment process is managed through Regional Centers, and implemented through Authorized Centers around the world. The standards and qualifying criteria are supervised by Institute-appointed Lead Assessors. The Institute policies are governed by the World Certification Council, whose membership comprises renowned leaders of industries and professions.

All award recipients are required to demonstrate a reputation of integrity by agreeing to abide by a code of Ethical Practices, or an equivalent code relevant to their occupational requirements.

Adherence to this code serves to assure public confidence on the integrity of the award recipients.

Additionally, all awards of World Certification Institute are valid for a period of three years and thereafter will require re-certification to maintain the status of the professional credential.
