Mr. Dan R. MasonWASHINGTON, Oct 25, 2015 – World Certification Institute has conferred the highest certification award on Mr. Dan R. Mason, the first Canadian to become a World Certified Master Professional (WCMP) in the field of accounting and finance.

The WCMP is a premier credential granted only to the elites of the profession. It is a mark of eminence that attests to an individual as being highly qualified and is recognized as an outstanding leader in the specified occupational field.

Dan has more than 30 years of substantive experience in accountancy. He began his career as a Registered Public Accountant in 1984, and later became a Certified General Accountant. He is proficient in International Financial Reporting Standards and International Accounting Standards, and in 2009, he was designated as an Industrial, Commercial and Institutional Accountant (ICIA).

Dan has taught the international standards to an accounting body in Canada for several years, and in recent years he has delivered seminars on “Accounting Standards for Private Enterprise”. Dan is also a full member of the Professional Business Accountants’ Society of Canada (PBA), a professional accounting body that has recently been accredited by World Certification Institute.

Mr. Dan R. Mason 2In addition to the WCMP award, Dan will also be conferred as an Associate Fellow of World Certification Institute. When asked for his response on receiving the award, Dan Mason is thankful for the recognition that he has contributed significantly to the profession. “It is an honor to receive the highest award from a global Institute. My international and domestic clients will be happy to see that I now have international recognition. Although I have received many domestic awards in the past, having an International recognition is like opening a new door!”

Asked for his advice to those in his profession, Dan remarked, “To future accountancy incumbents that desire to enter the international stage or desire such recognition domestically I recommend the World Certification Institute, as it will give you the building blocks from your current level of domestic achievement to that of the future as you go forward internationally if you choose that route.”

ABOUT WORLD CERTIFICATION INSTITUTE (WCI)

WCI

World Certification Institute (WCI) is a global certifying and accrediting body that grants credential awards to individuals as well as accredits courses of organizations.

During the late 90s, several business leaders and eminent professors in the developed economies gathered to discuss the impact of globalization on occupational competence. The ad-hoc group met in Vienna and discussed the need to establish a global organization to accredit the skills and experiences of the workforce, so that they can be globally recognized as being competent in a specified field. A Task Group was formed in October 1999 and comprised eminent professors from the United States, United Kingdom, Germany, France, Canada, Australia, Spain, Netherlands, Sweden, and Singapore.

World Certification Institute (WCI) was officially established at the start of the new millennium and was first registered in the United States in 2003. Today, its professional activities are coordinated through Authorized and Accredited Centers in America, Europe, Asia, Oceania and Africa.
