Professor Ramon J. Aldag

Professor Ramon Aldag has more than 40 years of experience in the field of academia, and has extensive consulting expertise in organizational research. He is currently the Glen A. Skillrud Family Chair in Business at the University of Wisconsin-Madison (United States), where he also serves on the University Academic Planning Council. He received his first degree in Mechanical Engineering, an M.B.A. in Production Management, and a Ph.D. in Management, all from Michigan State University (United States). He was a thermal engineer on early Apollo and Voyager projects. He has served on a hundred Ph.D. thesis committees.

Professor Aldag has published more than 85 journal articles and book chapters and is co-author of nine books, including Organizational Behavior: A Skills-Based Approach and Creating High Performance Teams. He serves on the Editorial Review Boards of international journals, such as the Academy of Management Review, Administrative Science Quarterly, Journal of Applied Psychology, and Organization and Environment. He is also Editor of the Henry Stewart Talks Organizational Behavior Video Series and Editor-in-Chief for the Oxford Research Encyclopedia in Business and Management. He was President of the Academy of Management, a professional organization with more than 20,000 members in 101 countries, and has served as Dean of the Academy’s honorary society.
